The Brenmoor RFID wristbands and RFID Bracelets can take the care of patients one step further. As with the standard hospital wristbands and STAB labels there is still eye readable data and barcodes on the identity band but there is no need to move a patient if the wristband is not visible. Simply move the scanner to within the reading range of the wristband and it will instantly recognise the patient.
In addition a system can be set up so that once your scanner has identified the patient some of the “patients notes” can be displayed electronically on your hand help PC/scanner. This information can then be used to cross reference procedures, drugs, allergies and blood groups. Helping to ensure that the patient has a safe and pleasant a stay as possible and ensuring that the right patient is getting the right care.
Technical Information
- Wristbands from Brenmoor use 13.56 MHz technology iso15693 (open system) inlays with a total memory of 1024 bits and user memory 768 bits.
- The necessary components (Integrated circuits and antennas) are specially chosen to fit the needs of mass market applications to optimise cost and performance.
- The typical read distance is around 25cm (10 inches). No line of sight is required.

Final product description
- The standard bands are white in colour with white clasps and an option to customise and include company logos/slogans etc.
- Heat sensitive face material so there is no need for thermal ribbon when printing.
- Fitted with 13.56mhz RFID intelligent inlay.
Customisation
- Total customisation of the wrist band and clasp is available. This would include incorporating company logos and colours on to the whole of the wrist-band and clasp at the point of manufacture.
