MHRA Compatibility Blood Tag
In response to the MHRA requirement of no extra adhesive labels on blood bags.
A fully printable and patent applied for blank tag that is easily fed through the hole at the top of the bag. The tag is secured in place by peeling away a special cut tab exposing adhesive underneath which is then fixed to the back of the printable area.
The whole of the printable area (105 x 70mm) is left completely blank so that each hospital/department can produce a template that is unique to their own method of working.
As with Brenmoor wristbands, the tag is printable using thermal printers without the use of inks or ribbons and the print is fully resistant to alcohol, soaps, water and bodily fluids.
The tag contains a perforation for easy detachment and recording of the transfusion. The removable section has a “crack back” so that if required it can be easily peeled away and stuck to patient notes.
Supplied on rolls of 100, with 5 rolls in each box.
They are designed for use in most thermal transfer printers including Zebra 2824, 2844, G-Series and in addition TEC, Citizen, Maxatech and Intermec.
